The Opportunity
Enrollment leaders face growing pressure to evaluate applicants quickly, fairly, and strategically. EddyAI™ began by solving a foundational challenge: manual data entry. With that burden removed, institutions now have the time and capacity to focus on what matters most—building smarter, more strategic enrollment practices.
Today, they are leaning on EddyAI™ for what comes next: unlocking intelligent, forward-looking approaches to admissions.
For first-year admissions, that means deeper holistic review—looking beyond GPA to assess academic rigor, strength of curriculum, and historical outcomes from a student’s high school transcript. For transfers, it means identifying the next best course articulations to accelerate credit mobility and drive student success.
To shape the future of EddyAI™, EdVisorly convened a collaborative innovation roundtable, bringing together leading enrollment teams and AI engineers to explore what is possible. The focus: how transcript data can fuel more equitable admissions decisions, smarter scholarship distribution, and predictive academic planning.
The Collaboration
EdVisorly convened a forward-thinking group of university partners from Texas Tech University (TTU), University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK), Stony Brook University (SBU), University of the Pacific (UOP), Drexel University, and Sonoma State University. All of these institutions are known for their commitment to access, innovation, and student success.

Joining them were AI Engineers from Google and team members from EdVisorly. The goal: identify new opportunities to leverage transcript data to drive actionable insights, enrollment strategy, and surface hidden opportunities.
From Business Intelligence to Enrollment Intelligence
Google Engineers joined the session to share their perspective on the evolving role of data in institutional decision-making. They defined Business Intelligence (BI) as “the process of using the power of people and technologies to collect and analyze data to be used by organizations in their strategic and daily decision-making processes.”
They highlighted a critical gap facing most institutions: while vast amounts of data are collected, it often remains locked away—buried in siloed systems, spreadsheets, or dependent on IT access. As a result, the very teams making day-to-day decisions about admissions, scholarships, and student success often cannot reach the insights they need, when they need them.
EddyAI™ makes transcript data instantly accessible to enrollment teams—no IT ticket, no delay. Whether recalculating high school GPAs or analyzing rigor scores at scale, EddyAI™ delivers real-time, student-level insight that powers action.
As Google’s team framed it, EddyAI™ is not just business intelligence—it is Enrollment Intelligence. EddyAI™ empowers enrollment teams to act with speed, precision, and impact.
The Outcomes: Turning Insight Into Action
The roundtable surfaced four key areas where data and AI can have the most immediate and transformative impact across first-year and transfer enrollment:
1. Holistic Admissions Review
Institutions explored how GPA trends, course rigor, and academic patterns can support more inclusive and predictive admissions models—especially when surfaced earlier in the process.
2. Scholarship Leveraging
Real-time academic insights help institutions flag merit-eligible students early—even before an application is complete—enabling faster, more equitable award decisions.
3. Persistence and Yield Forecasting
Participants discussed how academic performance trends and historical outcomes can inform predictive models for yield and long-term student success.
4. Course and Program Predictions
By analyzing transcript and equivalency data, institutions can forecast which courses to articulate next, and ensure their program offerings align with student demand.
These focus areas now serve as the foundation for collaborative pilots, product roadmap enhancements, and ongoing research partnerships between innovative institutions and the EdVisorly team.
The EdVisorly Difference: Convening Innovation Around People
EdVisorly’s role in this initiative was not to have all of the right answers, but to convene the right voices and create a space for collaboration. The roundtable was a reflection of EdVisorly’s broader belief: Innovation starts with People.
Looking Ahead
This roundtable is only the beginning. The institutions involved are already collaborating on pilots to:
- Enhance holistic review using early academic signals
- Identify scholarship opportunities based on GPA and academic rigour (AP, IB, and dual enrollment)
- Predict student decision making to strengthen yield modelling
- Build smarter transfer articulations to drive credit mobility
Together, EdVisorly and partner institutions are helping shape a future where data is not a barrier—but a bridge to more equitable, efficient, and student-centered enrollment outcomes.
